Ampere Electric Vehicles opens its first EV Dealership in Nepal

Ampere Electric Vehicles, a wholly-owned electric mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton, today announced its first dealership in Nepal. This marks the entry of Ampere Electric’s exciting range of energy-efficient products in Nepal for sustainable and affordable last-mile connectivity.

Post Covid, there is expectancy of increase in personal mobility electric scooters for short distance commuting, owing to increased need to curb any additional expenses on fuel & maintenance cost. There are safety concerns over visiting crowded petrol stations & risk infection due to issues in social distancing & exchange of cash.

The electric scooters will be boon for the small business entrepreneurs in Nepal, who want to multiply their trade, tapping additional customers from online ecommerce.

The company in a statement said that it has sold more than 50,000 scooters in the Indian market & has been growing with over 200+ exclusive retail outlets in India.

The company’s current offerings include high-speed EV ‘Zeal’, along with medium to optimum city speed models like Reo Elite, V-48 LA, Magnus 60, Reo LA and REO Li.
