BYD K12A world’s longest 27-metre pure electric bus launched

has announced the launch of world’s longest 27-m (88 feet ) pure electric bi-articulated bus K12A at the company’s headquarters in Shenzhen.

The all new K12A has a passenger capacity of 250 people and can travel at a maximum speed of 70 km/h.

K12A is the longest pure in the world and the company touts it to be the world’s first to come equipped with a distributed 4WD system, it can switch between 2WD and 4WD smoothly to meet the demands of different terrains, while also lowering the vehicle’s overall energy consumption.

The new pure from the house of is compatible with the global Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system.

It features all-aluminum alloy body and ’s core technologies of batteries, electric motors and electronic controls.
