Gujarat Electric Vehicle Policy 2021 comes at an opportune time: Nakul Kukar, Cell Propulsion

Gujarat government has announced an e-vehicle policy —Gujarat Electric Vehicle Policy 2021 aiming to make Gujarat a hub for e-vehicles and various materials related to it, and witness 2 lakh electric vehicles on the roads of Gujarat in next 4 year.

Informing about the decision, the state information department tweeted, “With an aim to witness 2 lakh electric vehicles on the roads of Gujarat in next 4 years, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani declares Gujarat Electric Vehicle Policy 2021.”

Nakul Kukar, Founder and CEO, Cell Propulsion sharing his views on the policy said “With the announcement of the e-vehicle policy the Gujarat government is enabling the inevitable transition from carbon-emitting vehicles to cleaner forms of transportation. The Gujarat Electric Vehicle Policy 2021 comes at an opportune time when both central and state governments are taking encouraging steps to boost awareness as well as the adoption of EVs. The various incentives coming from the government are encouraging for all the industry stakeholders and will, in turn, be a big step towards accelerating this transition.”
