BHEL floats Tender for String Monitoring Boxes for NTPC’s 20 MW Solar Project

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has floated tender inviting bids to supply 104 string monitoring boxes, four wireless receiver systems for supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and other spare components for NTPC’s 20 MW solar project in Gandhar, Gujarat

The last date for the submission of bids is August 8, 2020 As per the tender document only local bidders could participate in the tender and earnest money deposit (EMD) is not required for the project.

BHEL notes that bidders must be original equipment manufacturers and should have previously supplied at least 100 similar string monitoring boxes with wireless communication features for solar projects in the last three years.

Vendors are expected to attach copies of purchase orders and commissioning or performance certificates from their clients.

The tender doc notes that that vendor credentials would be submitted to the NTPC for approval. It added that only bids from technically qualified vendors who have been approved by the NTPC would be considered.
