BSES discoms signs an agreement with SECI to source 200 Mw wind power

Reliance Infrastructure-owned discoms BSES Yamuna (BYPL) and BSES Rajdhani (BRPL) announced that they have signed an agreement with for sourcing 200 Megawatt (100 MW each) at a rate of Rs 2.84 per unit for the next 25 years.

The latest agrrement takes the total quantum of energy tied-up by the discoms to 600 Mw.

The company further stated that the tariff under the latest agreement is among the lowest for power and is substantially lower than the average cost of long-term PPAs at around Rs 4.5 per unit.
