KREDL floats Tender for 1,013 Solar-Powered Water Pumps

Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) has issued a tender 1,013 five horsepower (hp) solar-powered water pumps. Last date for bid-submission is January 15, 2018.

As per the tender scope of work will include supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 5 HP AC /DC solar water pumps.

The successful bidder/s should establish one full-fledged service Centre in each of the District where the project will be implemented and the details of the same shall be intimated to KREDL, ensure that defects of the solar water pumping system shall be rectified within 48 hrs and maintain solar-powered pumps for five years.

The solar powered water pumps project is estimated to cost around Rs. 481.5 million. KREDL notes that it will provide the list of farmer locations to the Contractor in batches as and when received from ESCOMs. The selected bidders will ensure that Commissioning of solar water pumping system is completed within 120 days from the date of receipt of beneficiaries list in batches.

The interested bidders has to submit 10% of the contract value as Security Deposit in the form of Bank Guarantee within one week from the date of receipt of LOI. The BG should be valid for a period of 180 days with additional claim period of one month from the date of signing agreement and shall be extendable upto:

  • the period of total commissioning of solar water pumps and
  • the date of acceptance of completion certificate by MNRE for the awardedquantity

The BG has to be renewed before the expiry date for a further period of 180 days and if not renewed prior to expiry, it will be forfeited.
