Tata Power’s Club Enerji organises mega awareness rally in Mumbai to celebrate National Energy Conservation Day

Club Enerji, a nation-wide movement of Tata Power, has been undertaking numerous initiatives to spread awareness on energy conservation amongst school children and communities at large. Keeping the motto in mind, Club Enerji’s students from Oxford International High School, Kandivali, organised a rally and performed a street play around the school campus.

The rally was organised to celebrate National Energy Conservation Day. The objective of the rally and street play was to sensitise the audience about importance of energy conservation. Around 100 students participated in the rally which sensitized around 700 people . The students’ enthusiasm was highly appreciated by the passers-by and they appreciated the efforts undertaken by the students.

Speaking on the occasion,  Anil Sardana, MD and CEO, Tata Power, said, “Club Enerji is an educative platform for children to share and expand their understanding, and bring about a chain reaction which could take Tata Power’s message to a global community platform. It is important for everyone to understand the importance of energy conservation, and we are glad that Club Enerji students are the key drivers of our cause. We are thankful to the Principal and teachers of Oxford International High School for their robust support to make this possible.”

The Club Enerji programme has reached out to over 500 schools in India and has sensitised over 15 million citizens, who in turn have helped save more than 21 MU of electricity till date. The club also has around 1500 self-sustaining mini Club Enerjis and has won several national and international accolades.
