Waaree Energies launches do-It-yourself rooftop solar kit “Pronto”

In a bid to reduce the time and manpower needed for standard solar installations, Indian PV module manufacturing giant Waaree Energies has launched do-It-yourself rooftop solar kit named as Pronto.

Waaree Energies touting it as first of its kind claims that including module, inverter and racking system, it is available in the range of 1-5kW capacities.

According to the company it will need just two people and 1KW can be installed in just 30 minutes. Pronto comes with patented rooftop non-penetrating racking system, with a focus on a design that embodies simplicity and is sturdy to withstand any weather and Waaree offers inverter with latest MPPT technology with remote monitoring. The company notes that inverters are available in three phase and hybrid model as well.

Waaree claims that Pronto can reduce electricity bills by 30%, with similar savings to that of large rooftop systems due to the bypassing of several sourcing and logistical steps.

The system can be used for any net-metering based application, allowing consumers to get credits for excess generation gains. The first in a statement said that Pronto is also beneficial for small scale industries.
