White Paper Released On Trina Tracker’s Performance In The Field

TrinaTracker has released an industry white paper to show the performance of its spherical bearings which have a unique three-dimensional design that is internationally patented.

The white paper outlines the advantages of the spherical bearing’s design and shows results of rigorous testing to highlight its long-term reliability outdoors.

The tests show that TrinaTracker’s spherical bearings have clear advantages over conventional cylindrical bearings.

TrinaTracker has always been at the forefront of technology and innovation in the solar industry,  creating significant value for solar farm operators.

The company’s trackers can be used in various terrain. The trackers’ design eliminates risks of misalignment and additional forces that create extra friction.

In addition, the assembly of spherical bearings reduces installation times and costs.

The report highlights how the company’s trackers have been performing well in the field for more than 10 years. Its trackers today account for more than 6GW of solar capacity globally.

A notable example of the product’s long-term reliability and efficiency is the 11 MW Zuera power plant on the outskirts of Zaragoza city in northern Spain. This is where TrinaTracker’s first spherical bearings were assembled in 2008.

Jason Duan, head of the tracker business unit at Trina Solar says: “TrinaTracker’s patented three-dimensional spherical bearing, unique to our Agile 1P and Vanguard 2P series, meets the company’s objective of increasing our client’s return on investment by lowering the balance of system cost and delivering reliability during the project lifecycle. No failure has been reported regarding  TrinaTracker spherical bearings since they were first assembled more than a decade ago.”
