COGOS Partners with Altigreen to Deploy 1000 Electric Vehicless in its logistics fleet

India’s one of the fastest-growing intra-city logistics company, COGOS has announced its partnership with Altigreen by deploying 1000 Electric Vehicles in its fleet, a step to further strengthen its commitment towards electric mobility in the country.

Magenta in collaboration with HPCL installs First set of Street Lamp Integrated electric vehicle Charger – ChargeGrid Flare

ChargeGrid Flare street lamp integrated charger, a unique initiative by HPCL and Magenta, inaugurated at HPCL Bandra Kurla Complex outlet in Mumbai and Nitimarg T&E outlet in Delhi .The facility was inaugurated by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited along with Magenta . This class of electric vehicle charging points is first in India, to incorporate within energy-efficient street lamp columns, which will encourage electric vehicle adoption for flexible and low-cost charging solutions.

Delhi government suspends subsidy on Tata Nexon electric vehicle

Delhi Transport minister Kailash Gahlot reccently said several users had complained of “sub-standard” driving range offered by the Nexon electric vehicle . The Delhi government has decided to suspend subsidy on a electric vehicle car model, pending final report of a Committee, due to complaints by multiple users of sub-standard range performance, Gahlot tweeted.

Kolkata among six global cities for faster adoption of Electric Vehicle

Kolkata is one among six global megacities for its faster adoption of electric vehicles in mass transportation.  The state will be will be featured in the EV City Casebook 2021,to be released on March 11, as a case study along with Shenzhen (China), Santiago (Chile), Izmir (Turkey), London (UK) and Vancouver (Canada).  Kolkata stands third — ahead of London — in terms of ‘percentage penetration of e-buses’. Significantly, Shenzhen is way ahead, with 99% of the world’s electric buses being in China.

Meghalaya issues ‘Meghalaya Electric Vehicle Policy 2021

The Meghalaya government has released ‘Meghalaya Electric Vehicle Policy 2021’, which will come into effect from April 1, 2021 and will remain in operation and valid for the next five years. The state government has decided to go green by facilitating the adoption of at least 15% Electric Vehicles by 2025.

Telecoms company ZTE gearing up to dive into electric vehicle segment

Telecoms equipment maker ZTE is reportedly gearing up to dive into the electric vehicle segment. The company will be joining a number of Chinese technology companies entering the electric vehicle market as it looks to build a team for a new product line, reports Reuters citing company spokeswoman. However, the company reveals whether the product line will supply parts for partner companies, or whether the company would be producing its own branded vehicles.
