SJVN bagged 75 megawatt grid-connected solar project in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh

 SJVN has bagged a 75 megawatt grid-connected solar project in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh. The power generated from the project will be procured by Uttar Pradesh New and Renewal Development Agency (UPNEDA) for 25 years at a quoted tariff of Rs 2.68/KWh, SJVN said in a statement.

China gearing up to add at least 90 GW wind and solar capacity to the grid in 2021

China has ordered power transmission firms to connect a minimum of 90 gigawatts of wind and solar capacity to the grid this year, said the National Energy Administration , reports Reuters.The new wind and solar capacity addition is part of a new policy initiative aimed at meeting its low-carbon targets.

Around 10 gigawatt of new utility-scale solar expected to be installed in the financial year 2021-22 says  JMK Research

According to a recent market update by JMK Research. Around 10 gigawatt of new utility-scale solar is estimated to be installed in the financial year 2021-22 , the report added that in financial year 21, about 3.5 GW of new utility-scale solar capacity was added, which is 39 per cent lesser than the financial year 20 installations.

Renewable energy certificate market records net sales worth Rs 9266 crore to date says a study 

According to a study released  by the C E E W- Centre for Energy Finance ​India’s renewable energy certificate market has recorded net sales worth Rs 9,266 crore during its decade of existence. The research firm said that this was an encouraging sign, given that the country would increasingly bank on market instruments such as RECs to support its energy transition.
