Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has scrapped 500 Mw wind power tender. The auction was launched at the end of February this year after facing several delays. According to reports the auction has been scrapped due to issues raised by bidders.
“GUVNL’s wind tender for the purchase of 500MW of grid-connected wind power through competitive bidding (phase-II) including a greenshoe option for an additional 500MW is hereby cancelled and the bidding process has been annulled,” GUVNL posted the update on its website.
TOI citing close source reports that the tender was cancelled in view of certain issues raised by the bidders, which need to be deliberated on and this may take some time. A fresh tender will be issued soon after the due deliberations.
