The government has released time table for state entities and official agencies for issuing bids in solar sector . It is aimed at spacing out the offer of large project capacities and avoiding distortion of the market.
In a bid to attain 100 GW target , the government is planning to invite bids for 30,000 MW each in the current year and next fiscal year 2019-20. This is expected to bring steady pipeline of projects through the year instead of clashing of the bid dates and exerting pressure on the entire value chain.
Renewable energy minister RK Singh took cognizance and directed that a timetable of bids by various organizations in calendar year may be given so that bids are distributed in various months of the year in the solar sector.
Following this, MNRE wrote to organisations responsible for carrying out solar bids and request that the time table may please be followed in bring solar bids by various organizations as clashing of bids of different organisations distorts the market.
