Kanoda Energy commissions rooftop solar at Ranbir Government Press,Jammu

Kanoda Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd. (“Kanoda”), recently announced the commissioning of its 100 kW solar rooftop plant at Ranbir Government Press in Old Heritage City, Jammu in the State of Jammu & Kashmir. The site commissioning was attended by dignitaries of the Govt. Press, vendor partners and employees of the Company.

The plant promotes the ‘Make in India’ movement and uses modules explicitly manufactured in India. The 100 kW solar rooftop plant makes use of 312 nos. of 320 Wp PV modules by Jakson and 2 nos. of 50 kW inverters by Sungrow.

The plant is generating more than 4.06 units/ kW/ day. The plant was swiftly commissioned under a record time of 20 days with a strong support from Jammu & Kashmir Energy Development Agency (“JAKEDA”). Kanoda has also installed PV-DG sync solution to make optimum use of solar energy when grid fails; minimising diesel consumption and making sure Ranbir Government Press uses solar power in most efficient way even when grid is unavailable.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Kinjal Jani, MD of Kanoda, said: “The commissioning of the new plant continues to strengthen Kanoda’s position as a quality-driven company in the overly saturated and quality-deteriorating Indian solar market. As of now, Kanoda is rapidly growing with total installed power generation capacity of more than 2.5 MW under net metering and more than 100 MW in Project Advisory and Project Consultancy Services. We, at Kanoda, will continue to execute quality projects mitigating the effects of climate change in a most sustainable manner.”
