Vikram Solar has commissioned a 350 KW rooftop solar power plant for Gun and Shell Factory (GSF) in Cossipore, Kolkata. GSF Cossipore is a unit of the Ordnance Factories Board that manufactures special equipment for the Indian Army.
The solar project spreads across 4,180 square meter of roof top area that has 1,130 modules powering five buildings. The company in a statement said the rooftop solar installation is expected to save 430 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide emissions. The company has a rooftop Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) portfolio of around 60 Megawatt comprising government clients. Vikram Solar’s annual Photo-Voltaic module production capacity stands at 1,000 Megawatt.
