The Kakinada Smart City Corporation Limited has initiated steps to generate 5 MW solar power through solar panels installing on rooftops of various government office buildings.
The Board of Director of the Corporation at its meeting on Wednesday with District Collector Kartikeya Mishra in the chair has discussed the project threadbare, which was planned under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
The Corporation has already entered Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 1. 2 MW and agreements are ready for another 0. 82 MWs.
