KP Energy has signed an agreement with GE India to set up a 300 Megawatt (Mw) wind power project at Kutch in Gujarat.
The wind project will be connected with ISTS (Inter State Transmission System) Network in Kutch. This is in furtherance to the Term Sheet Agreement signed up between the parties said the company in a statement.
The project would use 120 wind turbine generators of 2.5 Mw capacity each and is likely to be commissioned in September next year.
KP Energy has undertaken development activities for the project including resource mobilization, lands and permits acquisition, statutory approvals and route surveys, and has so far received milestone payments of Rs 28.45 crore towards the above progress.
