THANE TO GET ITS FIRST BATCH OF 100 EV CHARGING STATIONS SOON

The civic body is reportedly planning to roll out one such facility in January and has signed an MoU regarding this on Thursday. ET citing source reports that in the MoU signed by the TMC and two private automobile companies—Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd and Kinetic Greens— after carrying out a two-month discussion and survey. They will launch 100 e-charging stations in the city.

Amid the questions on the purchase of new electric buses, Himachal Pradesh government has now termed that allegations wrong and said that purchase of electric buses was made through open tenders with wide publicity. The state government said that records reveal that price found in this tender was the lowest in India as compared to earlier data available.

VOLVO TO START ROLLING OUT MADE IN INDIA HYBRID ELECTRIC CARS BY END OF 2019

Volvo will start rolling out local assembled hybrid electric version of its premium sports utility vehicle XC90 T8 by the end of next year. This will be country’s first locally assembled hybrid electric vehicle. Beside the XC90 , the company is also planning to launch a range of hybrid electric cars in next 3 years.

OLA GEARING UP TO SHOWCASE CONCEPT EVS INCLUDING THREE-WHEELER AND FOUR-WHEELER: REPORT Ola is reportedly gearing up to showcase its concept electric vehicles, including an electric three-wheeler and four wheelers. Business Standard reports that Ola is already in talks with number of vendor for the components, including lithium battery to roll out a commercial model. Battery accounts for over 50 per cent of the EV cost.

NTPC SIGNS PACTS WITH 7 CAB AGGREGATORS FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE NTPC

signed pacts with seven cab aggregators Ola, Lithium, Shuttl, Bikxie, Bounce, Electrie and Zoom Car for creation of public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The collaboration with these aggregators, having presence in the entire spectrum of e-mobility across India, will lead to development of charging infrastructure for the various vehicle segments as well as effective utilisation of public charging infrastructure
