Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) signed a PSA of 100 MW Wind Power with BSES YAMUNA Power Limited. As of now there is no info on the tariff at which BSES will procure power from SECI.
Early this month Reliance Infrastructure-owned power discoms BSES Yamuna (BYPL) and BSES Rajdhani (BRPL) announced that they have signed an agreement with SECI for sourcing 200 Megawatt (100 MW power each) at a rate of Rs 2.84 per unit for the next 25 years.
The power will be procured through SECI, which will act as an intermediary procurer.
“Renewable energy is critical for sustainable growth and BSES is alive to it while ensuring there is minimal burden on the consumers. This allocation of wind power is once again a testament to our efforts,” said BSES in a statement.
The latest agreement takes the total quantum of wind energy tied-up by the discoms to 700 Mw.
