Launching the battery swapping station Dharmendra Pradhan said “while the oil marketing companies had worked together to usher in BS-VI fuels across the nation, the time has come to go beyond this and introduce more path-breaking technologies in the business.”
Indian Oil Corporation will set up the battery swapping stations at select fuel stations in partnership with SUN Mobility.
Pradhan added in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, electric mobility can help India meet its Paris Agreement commitment of reducing carbon emission intensity (emission per unit of GDP) by 33 to 35 percent of 2005 level over 15 years.
Chetan Maini, Co-Founder & Vice Chairman, SUN Mobility, via his Linkedin post said “Excited to see our first Quick Interchange station live at the Indian Oil Corporation Limited pump at Chandigarh.
