Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) and Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) recently hosted a workshop on accelerating adoption of sustainable solutions for industries in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The initiative was aimed at creating awareness among energy-intensive industries in the state about various energy-efficient technological and financial options available, which can enable them to save energy and lower the cost of production.
Sharing his insights, SP Garnaik, Executive Director, EESL said, “Energy efficiency has proven to be one of the most potent tools for the global fight against climate change. The industrial sector has widely benefitted from energy efficiency practices along with advancements in technology. The impact is significant in terms of reducing emission of CO2. The collective effort of diverse industries adopting and implementing energy conservation measures can accelerate India’s path to a sustainable future.”
The event saw an elaborate discussion on how to achieve sustainability through energy efficiency initiatives of EESL under standard package offers for the industrial sector. Present on the occasion were notable government agencies, financial institutions,
Designated consumers under BEE’s Perform Achieve and Trade (PAT) scheme, energy services companies and stakeholders from diverse sectors. Energy-efficient technologies in the steel and cement sector, upgraded technologies on rolling mill and EESL’s schemes under standard package offer for industries were a few of the topics discussed during the workshop.
