Bengaluru-based electric vehicle startup iGowise Mobility has announced the launch of its new electric scooter, the BeiGo X4 is now available for the Indian market.
The scooter, which the company claims is an “SUV of scooters” with a range of 150 km, will feature fire-resistant LifePO4 batteries and a 60-liter boot space. Other notable features include an inbuilt pillion footrest, spacious flat floor legroom, and a triple-disc anti-skid braking system.
The BeiGo X4 also utilizes twin-wheel integrated power-train technology for on-demand self-balancing and is designed for comfortable travel in traffic, even on inclines and while reversing.
Suresh Salla, CTO and Chief of Design for iGowise Mobility said, “while many have attempted to build a self-balancing scooter, iGo’s innovative engineering ingenuity is bringing this stabilization without compromising on performance and agility and without using expensive or high energy-demanding technologies.”
iGowise Mobility plans to offer a zero-down-payment pay-as-you-go vehicle subscription and is in talks with various EV financing partners to make safe mobility more accessible to the masses.
The BeiGo X4 will be priced at an introductory price of Rs 1.1 lakh for the base variant, with a 5-year warranty/1,00,000 km offered. The company’s manufacturing facility in Whitefield, Bengaluru has a production capacity of 30,000 units annually and plans to invest in automation tools and testing equipment in the final stages of production.
