Vikram Solar’s PARADEA Mono PERC 144 cell Bifacial Glass-Glass modules demonstrate exceptional reliability and performance
Vikram Solar, homegrown solar module manufacturer in India, has once again secured the coveted position of ‘Top Performer’ in the PVEL PV Module Reliability Scorecard 2023.
This achievement comes as a result of their successful completion of the rigorous Product Qualification Program (PQP) testing procedure, which is considered the gold standard for module bankability in the solar industry.
The PARADEA Mono PERC 144 cell Bifacial Glass-Glass solar module, already highly regarded in the international market, has stood out as a top performer in the PQP tests.
Vikram Solar’s unwavering commitment to stringent selection criteria for Bill of Materials (BOM) and their robust process control on state-of-the-art manufacturing lines have played a significant role in consistently introducing high-performing solar modules.
Expressing his delight on this accomplishment, Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman & Managing Director of Vikram Solar, emphasized the company’s focus on quality, performance, and innovation in its pursuit of building an energy-rich and sustainable future for all. He acknowledged that PVEL’s PQP tests are known for their rigor, making this recognition a testament to Vikram Solar’s product performance and reliability. Chaudhary further stated that their continued success in leading industry testing processes reaffirms their product positioning. He expressed confidence that this recent achievement would support their ongoing efforts to expand their manufacturing capacity, penetrate new markets, and accelerate solar deployment globally.
Vikram Solar’s PARADEA Mono PERC 144 cell Bifacial Glass-Glass solar modules have secured the title of Top Performer across various categories, including Light-Induced Degradation (LID) + Light-elevated Temperature-Induced Degradation (LeTID), Damp Heat (DH), Mechanical Stress Sequence (MSS), Potential-Induced Degradation (PID), and PAN Performance. The test results revealed minimal degradation, with the PAN performance ranking among the top quartile for energy yield in PVEL PVSyst simulation.
Tristan Erion-Lorico, VP of Sales and Marketing at PVEL, congratulated Vikram Solar on their modules’ outstanding performance in the Product Qualification Program. He acknowledged the company’s reliability and commitment to rigorous testing, which led to their sixth appearance in PVEL’s PV Module Reliability Scorecard.
The Product Qualification Program (PQP) assessment was carried out by PVEL, a leading independent test lab specializing in downstream solar and energy storage industries. The rankings in the PV Module Reliability Scorecard are based on the results obtained from comprehensive and stringent testing programs. To be categorized as Top Performing, modules had to demonstrate less than 2% degradation throughout the entire test sequence.
