The program offers tailored business advice, training, funding opportunities, and a community of green entrepreneurs to 350 startups in the Environment Action space
The Greenr Sustainability Accelerator (GSA) Program, a year-long equity-free program that supports green businesses with positive environmental impact, has opened its applications for the second cohort on the occasion of the Fourth National Startup Day.
The GSA is an initiative of TechnoServe, a global leader in micro, small, and growing business acceleration, with the support of the IKEA Foundation and the Visa Foundation. The program aims to nurture approximately 350 green entrepreneurs in the Environment Action space over the next three years.
The first cohort, which started on World Environment Day (June 5, 2023), comprises 130+ startups from 53 cities across India, offering innovative solutions in sectors such as waste management, textiles, food & agriculture, clean tech, green construction, and feminine hygiene.
The program provides tailored business advice to the participating businesses, pairing them with experienced Business Advisors who collaborate closely with them to develop and implement growth strategies. The program also offers business training and planning courses, access to a network of peers, experts, and financiers, and a Demo Day to showcase their products and services.
The GSA aims to establish a thriving green business ecosystem in India, and to create a transformative environmental impact and foster a conscious capitalism movement in the country. The program also hopes to unlock innovation, value, and financing for the green businesses, which play a crucial role in reducing climate risk and environmental degradation.
The market potential for green, small and growing businesses in India is estimated to be a $3.46 trillion market opportunity, and the GSA is unique in its approach to supporting them. The program is looking for passionate entrepreneurs who share its vision for a greener future, and who have a scalable business model with a positive environmental impact.
Interested entrepreneurs can apply for the accelerator at www.getgreenr.org or write to hello@getgreenr.org. Potential partners can write to partners@getgreenr.org. The applications for the second cohort will close on February 28, 2024.
