Deal to Supply 220 MW Strengthens Company’s Role in India’s Green Push
Waaree Energies, a leading Indian solar manufacturer, announced on Monday that it has secured a significant order from Sprng Energy to supply 220 megawatts (MW) of solar modules. These panels will be used for Sprng Energy’s upcoming solar project in Gujarat, according to a statement released by Waaree Energies.
“This collaboration presents a crucial opportunity for Waaree to play a vital role in advancing India’s green energy sector,” said Hitesh Chimanlal Doshi, Chairman & Managing Director of the Waaree Group. “This aligns perfectly with our commitment to achieving national sustainability goals.”
The agreement highlights Waaree Energies’ position as a major player in India’s solar industry. With an aggregate installed capacity of 12 GW as of June 30, 2023, the company is one of the country’s largest manufacturers of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules.
