REnergy Dynamics (RED), a new venture focused on bioenergy and sustainable energy solutions, officially launched today with ambitious goals to become a major player in India’s renewable energy sector.
Co-founded by clean tech entrepreneur Kushagra Nandan and bioenergy expert Varun Karad, RED aims to develop and finance sustainable energy projects, with a particular focus on bioenergy. The company is targeting an order book of Rs 5,000 crore by 2029, and already has projects worth Rs 575 crore underway.
RED will focus on four key areas: developing large-scale bioenergy projects, providing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services to other renewable energy developers, supplying feedstock to compressed biogas (CBG) projects, and manufacturing and supplying biogas plant components.
The company highlights its commitment to environmental stewardship and boasts a strong leadership team with experience in renewable energy projects. They’ve already secured a robust pipeline of bioenergy projects, with several under construction in South and West India with a combined capacity of 50 Tons Per Day (TPD) of CBG. Additionally, RED is executing large EPC projects for setting up CBG units for Reliance Industries Limited.
“Our mission at RED is to help preserve our planet and contribute to India’s goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2070,” said Kushagra Nandan, Chairman and Managing Director of RED. “By empowering communities and businesses to embrace bioenergy, we can create a transformative solution that addresses the need for renewable energy while also promoting a circular economy through the use of organic waste materials.”
Bioenergy, derived from organic waste materials like agricultural byproducts, food waste, and municipal solid waste, is seen as a promising source of renewable energy that can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
“RED is positioned to lead a shift towards a more sustainable energy future,” said Varun Karad, CEO of RED. “With our scalable and customizable solutions, we aim to drive positive change and inspire others to join the movement for a greener world.”
