Bhubaneswar Gears Up for Energy Efficiency Push as EESL Strengthens Sales Channels

Channel Partners Programme Focuses on Expanding Reach of Energy-Saving Appliances

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, conducted a Channel Partners Programme (CPP) in Bhubaneswar to establish strong sales channels for promoting energy-efficient appliances across India. The program focused on creating efficient promotional channels to expand the reach of EESL’s various energy-saving initiatives.

The event witnessed active participation from empaneled agencies who engaged in brainstorming sessions with EESL officials. Discussions centered around EESL’s past accomplishments in driving energy efficiency and formulating strategies for future programs.

EESL’s Achievements and Future Goals

EESL highlighted its success with the Pradhan Mantri UJALA Yojana, a large-scale LED bulb distribution program launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This program has resulted in significant cost savings of ₹19,334 crores annually. EESL emphasized the importance of digitalization in achieving this success and ensuring program accessibility across India’s diverse demographics.

Focus on Traditional Channels Alongside Digital

While acknowledging the rise of online shopping platforms, EESL recognized the continued relevance of traditional brick-and-mortar stores and channel partners, which account for 70% of household consumer spending. The program aimed to encourage individuals and businesses to join EESL’s mission of promoting energy-efficient solutions by becoming partners in this initiative.

EESL Announces New Initiative

During the CPP, EESL announced the upcoming launch of energy-efficient cookstoves on their eeslmart.in website within a week. This initiative is part of the National Efficient Cooking Programme, launched by EESL under the Government of India’s “Go Electric” Campaign.

EESL’s CPP in Bhubaneswar signifies a strong commitment to expanding its reach and empowering local businesses to contribute to India’s energy efficiency goals.
