Landmark PPAs with GUVNL and NTPC to Deliver Clean Energy and Power Thousands of Homes

Juniper Green Energy has announced the signing of two significant Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for a total of 480 MW of hybrid renewable energy projects. These projects represent a major step forward in India’s transition to clean energy and mark Juniper Green Energy’s continued commitment to sustainable development.

The two projects encompass:

GUVNL Hybrid Phase 1: This groundbreaking initiative with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) boasts 190 MW of hybrid capacity, combining 140 MW of solar and 50 MW of wind power. This project is projected to generate 412 million units (MUs) of clean electricity annually, offsetting a substantial 384,067 tonnes of CO2 emissions and powering 82,016 households.

NTPC Hybrid Tranche-1: Juniper Green Energy’s largest hybrid project to date, this collaboration with NTPC Limited features an impressive 290 MW of hybrid capacity spread across Gujarat and Rajasthan. The project utilizes a combination of 210 MW solar and 80 MW wind power, generating 633 MUs of electricity per year. This translates to a significant reduction of 590,810 tonnes of carbon emissions and clean energy for 126,165 households.
