Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and bp’s joint venture, Jio-bp, today celebrated a significant milestone in India’s electric mobility journey. Anant Mukesh Ambani, Director of RIL, and Murray Auchincloss, CEO of bp, inaugurated the 500th Jio-bp pulse EV-charging station. This milestone coincides with the installation of the 5,000th Jio-bp pulse charging point in India, further expanding the company’s nationwide network.
Jio-bp has rapidly expanded its EV-charging infrastructure, growing from 1,300 stations to 5,000 in just a year. The company boasts the highest proportion of fast-charging stations in the industry, ensuring quick and efficient charging experiences for EV users. With a 96% uptime, Jio-bp has established itself as the country’s most reliable charging network.
To enhance user convenience, Jio-bp has deployed top-rated 480 KW chargers backed by unique CVPs. This allows for efficient charging at various locations, including malls, public parking, corporate parks, hotels, and wayside amenities. By addressing range anxiety and minimizing charging time, Jio-bp is driving the adoption of electric vehicles in India.
