The initiative aims to boost women’s employment, promote clean mobility, and enhance last-mile connectivity across India with specially designed electric rickshaws.
In a significant step toward gender empowerment and sustainable transportation, Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has partnered with Naari Shakti Women Welfare Charitable Trust to launch an ambitious CSR initiative deploying 2,500 Pink Auto Rickshaws for women drivers across India.
This move aligns with OSM’s vision of inclusive and clean mobility and is a powerful expression of support for women’s economic empowerment. These electric three-wheelers are not only eco-friendly and cost-effective—priced at just ₹2,59,999 (on-road, Delhi), with a 1% interest rate and one-fourth the running cost of CNG autos—but also come packed with safety features, GPS, and emergency alert systems.
Driving Change Through Sustainable Empowerment
Designed specifically for women, these pink autos symbolize both mobility and independence. They will be deployed initially in Delhi NCR, with future rollouts in Bangalore, North Karnataka, and Chennai. This initiative aims to improve last-mile connectivity while creating livelihood opportunities for women in urban and semi-urban areas.
As part of a holistic approach, OSM is also offering:
- 24×7 customer support and AI-powered chat assistance
- Driver training and financial literacy programs
- Maintenance and emergency support services
Supporting National and Global Goals
This CSR initiative resonates strongly with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrating 75 years of Indian independence, and aligns with the G20 Presidency’s emphasis on gender equality and inclusive growth. It reflects a growing momentum where global dialogue is driving local impact, empowering women to actively participate in India’s sustainable future.
Mr. Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of OSM, stated:
“This initiative is more than just providing electric vehicles—it’s about offering women a path to dignity, independence, and opportunity.”
Mrs. Safiena Joseph, President of Naari Shakti, added:
“These Pink Autos will not only empower women economically but also create awareness about government schemes like MUDRA and startup loans—inspiring countless others to dream big.”
Conclusion:
The OSM–Naari Shakti partnership is a standout example of how corporate responsibility, sustainable technology, and social welfare can intersect to drive real, grassroots-level change. By putting women behind the wheel of India’s green mobility future, this initiative promises not just better connectivity, but stronger communities and a cleaner, more inclusive India.
