93,000+ Kilograms of Waste Managed in 2025 During the seven home matches of the TATA IPL 2025 season, Gujarat Titans successfully collected and managed 93,385 kilograms of waste at the Narendra Modi Stadium. This reflects the franchise’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and responsible event management.
Sustainability Drive Started in 2023 The Titans began their green initiative in 2023, aiming to build a strong sustainability framework. In 2024 alone, the team processed over 1 lakh kilograms of waste through methods like recycling, composting, upcycling, and donation.
Narendra Modi Stadium as a Green Model With a seating capacity of over 100,000, the stadium offers a significant opportunity to set standards in large-scale sustainable practices. The Titans are using this platform to implement a comprehensive waste management system that doesn’t compromise the spectator experience.
Waste Segregation and Social Impact This season’s waste includes 83,761 kg of dry and 9,624 kg of wet waste, all sorted and processed using decentralized systems. Leftover food and usable materials are donated, benefiting both the environment and local communities.
Partnerships Powering Circular Economy In collaboration with NEPRA Resource Management Pvt. Ltd., the Titans oversee the full lifecycle of waste—from collection and segregation to recycling. Their awareness campaigns in the stadium and online help engage fans, while the initiative supports waste workers, many of whom are women, promoting both environmental and social equity.
