Datta Infra Commissions 5.04 MW Solar Projects Under PM-KUSUM Scheme in Rajasthan, Eyes 43 MW More

Datta Power Infra Private Limited Accelerates Clean Energy Push with Major EPC Wins and Pan-India Expansion

Datta Power Infra Private Limited (Datta Infra) has successfully commissioned two ground-mounted solar power projects of 2.52 MW (AC) each—totaling 5.04 MW (AC)—in Bhagwa village, Barmer district, Rajasthan. The projects have been developed under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Component C scheme, with an additional 43 MW in the pipeline to be commissioned soon.

The Bhagwa solar plants, developed under the central government’s flagship clean energy initiative, are now supplying electricity directly to the nearby State Grid Sub-Station (GSS). This ensures uninterrupted power for agricultural water pumps, supporting farmers with reliable irrigation and enhancing agricultural sustainability in the region. Datta Infra will oversee the operation and maintenance of these plants for the next 25 years.

The commissioning reflects Datta Infra’s evolution into a full-fledged EPC powerhouse and aligns with its strategic push into diverse clean energy verticals, including waste management, biogas, and hydro storage. The company’s order book has surged to ₹2,800 crore, with a strong 50% CAGR, underscoring its long-term growth trajectory.

To support its expanding EPC operations, Datta Infra has launched a dedicated EPC arm—Power Sprout Solutions (PSS)—with a team of over 200 professionals and a targeted 600 MW order book. PSS aims to deliver turnkey solutions across solar, wind, hybrid, and RTC (Round-the-Clock) segments for C&I and REI bids.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gnanajothi Anandan, Head – EPC, Datta Infra, said, “The Bhagwa plants highlight our execution strength as an EPC company. With 43 MW more under PM-KUSUM, and 120 MW of wind projects from SECI and SJVN starting construction soon, we are strongly positioned to accelerate India’s clean energy journey.”

Datta Infra continues to make strategic moves in the renewable energy space. In 2024, it signed a ₹1,500 crore MoU with REC for 500 MW of renewable projects and another ₹5,000 crore MoU with the Rajasthan government to expand green energy infrastructure in the state. These initiatives are advancing as scheduled.

With a presence in key states including Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan, Datta Infra is reinforcing its pan-India footprint and playing a pivotal role in India’s mission to achieve 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030.
