EESL and APEPDCL Forge Partnership to Boost Energy Efficiency in Andhra Pradesh

New agreement aims to reduce energy bills, provide advanced technologies, and improve customer service for consumers.

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of public sector undertakings under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has signed an agreement with Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) to enhance energy efficiency and conservation within the power distribution sector. This collaboration aims to provide consumers with significant benefits such as reduced energy bills, access to advanced technologies, and improved customer service.

Under the ‘Energy Efficient Appliance Programme’, the partnership will offer a comprehensive energy efficiency solution to both residential and institutional consumers of APEPDCL. The initiative will raise awareness about energy efficiency through a variety of channels, including a DISCOM portal, text messages, and WhatsApp. Consumers will receive affiliate links via SMS, WhatsApp, and monthly bills to access the EESL Mart portal, where they can explore and purchase energy-efficient appliances.

The APEPDCL portal will feature appliance-specific banners with affiliate links and QR codes directing consumers to the EESL Mart webpage. Here, consumers can purchase a range of energy-efficient products, such as LED bulbs, 5-star rated BLDC fans, and super-efficient air conditioners. The platform promises a seamless buying experience, with products delivered directly to consumers’ doorsteps and comprehensive after-sales warranty services.

“We are thrilled to join forces with APEPDCL to champion energy efficiency and conservation in the power distribution sector,” said Shri Vishal Kapoor, CEO of EESL. “This partnership is poised to deliver substantial benefits to consumers, including lower energy bills and access to advanced technologies. It marks a pivotal step towards our shared vision of enhancing energy efficiency and promoting a sustainable future for India.”

Over the next three years, the collaboration will leverage advanced technologies to support the government’s energy efficiency and conservation efforts. EESL plans to scale up the deployment of energy efficiency initiatives, encouraging the adoption of sustainable energy practices and technologies in the power distribution sector. This endeavor aims to build a network of environmentally conscious consumers, contributing to India’s climate goals.
