REFU presents new innovative platform for solar and battery inverters at Intersolar Europe in Munich

REFUsol 100KREFU’s focus at this year’s Intersolar Europe is on the new inverter platform, which forms the basis for the new generation of string and battery inverters. The fair will take place from 20 – 22 June at the fairground in Munich – the REFU booth is located in hall B2, booth number 430.

The first member of the new product platform, the REFUsol 100K solar inverter – was presented for the first time at the WFES 2018 in Abu Dhabi. The device is compatible worldwide and provides maximum flexibility and installation ease in a compact user friendly solution. The REFUsol 100K can be connected to grid voltages ranging between 380 and 460 VAC and offers power outputs between 83 and 100 kVA depending upon the grid voltage. The two-piece design consisting of the PowerUnit and ConnectionBox – simplifies both installation and maintenance of the device. The ConnectionBox can be installed and wired on site prior to the arrival and installation of the PowerUnit shortly before commissioning. This ensures optimization of cash flows and quicker ROI. The PowerUnit can be quickly disconnected from the ConnectionBox in case of any troubleshooting and measurement activities without disturbing any of the cabling on site. Commissioning of the REFUsol 100K, is now Child’s play by using the REFU App available for both iOS and Android.

REFU launches its second member of the new platform – the new battery inverter REFUhybrid 88K for the first time at Intersolar 2018 in Munich. The REFUhybrid 88K is suitable for a wide range of on-grid battery and storage related applications – from 88 kW to megawatt systems. Thanks to the AC coupling possibilities, it can also be easily integrated into existing systems. The device with its two-part design allows for simple installation and commissioning with minimal maintenance requirements. The REFUhybrid 88K will initially be available for 400V and 200V second-life applications from Q4/2018. Further expansion stages planned for 2019 will round off the portfolio with functionalities for emergency power supply as well as off-grid and microgrid applications.

“Our new inverter platform is the perfect basis for our future portfolio. This means we will continue to offer our customers optimum solutions for their applications in the coming years – whether in the solar, storage or hybrid segment,” explains Zouhair Kefi, Senior Vice President Solar, Energy and Hybrid Segment at REFU.

Ralf Betkerowitz, Managing Director of REFU Elektronik GmbH, adds: “Our latest developments show that we are continuously working on future-oriented technologies. Our core competence is still power electronics – but in the future we will increasingly focus on software and control topics in order to offer our customers efficient and comprehensive solutions for their applications under one roof”
