NTPC has commissioned its first charging station for electric vehicles in Simhadri in Vishakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh.
The commissioning of this charging station is in line with government’s plan to switch to electric mobility; it has been designed by the engineering team of NTPC’s power project at the location.
The company in a statement said “The station can have three Electric Vehicles charged simultaneously at the facility and is fully equipped with all amenities like parking bays, lighting, power supply and Wi-Fi access for automated monitoring and CCTV surveillance.” The company further added that it is “committed to promote and speed up the adoption of Electric Vehicles across by providing the much-needed mobility infrastructure to support EV growth.”
