Goa gets 50 KW hybrid renewable energy plant at Verna

Goa gets its first 50 KW wind solar hybrid energy plant. The hybrid plant has been installed at Pfizer Limited’s manufacturing unit at Verna Industrial Estate.

The wind and solar hybrid energy system has been installed by Revayu Systems pvt ltd.

Revayu Systems is reportedly planning to install another 400 KW hybrid rooftop project for United Breweries Limited at Ponda, reports ET.

Revayu Systems has also completed a three months trial hybrid project for Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA).

The government of Goa already has a solar policy in place and power minister Nilesh Cabral has indicated that a hybrid energy policy could be on the cards to take the state towards clean and renewable energy.

An official with Revayu Systems speaking to the publication said “We approached to him with certain suggestions and he advised us that he would look into the matter. We realized that the minister is very proactive and enthusiastic about development of renewable energy, which will help the Industries and Goa.”

The state government has announced a subsidy of 20% on solar projects up to 100 KW to boost the usage of renewable energy.
