TATA Nexon EV : 10 things you should know about the electric SUV

TATA Motors launched India’s Own Electric SUV named as – the Nexon EV at an introductory price starting from INR 13.99 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom – All India).

Here we bring you list of 10 things that your should know about the TATA Nexon EV :-

  1. TATA Nexon EV will be available in three trim levels across 60 authorized dealerships in 22 cities.
  2. TATA Nexon EV has been introduced in XM, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux trims. Here is the variant-wise prices (ex-showroom, India) of the new Nexon electric SUV.
    • TATA Nexon EV XM – Rs 13.99 lakh
    • TATA Nexon EV XZ+ – Rs 14.99 lakh
    • TATA Nexon EV XZ+ Lux – Rs 15.99 lakh
  3. The all new electric SUV from the house of TATA is powered by the cutting-edge Ziptron technology and is is equipped with 3-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor paired with an IP67-certified 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery.
  4. It will be available in three exciting colour options – Signature Teal Blue colour, Moonlit Silver and Glacier White.
  5. The motor has an eight-year/1.6 lakh km warranty and generates an impressive 129 PS and 245 Nm of torque and comes mated to an automatic transmission.
  6. Tata Motors is providing a 3.3 kW AC on-board charger.
  7. The integrated lithium-ion can be charged up to 80 per cent from 0 per cent using a fast charger (CCS 2) in 60 minutes and up to 100 per cent from 20 per cent using a regular charger (any 15 amp plug point) in eight hours.
  8. Tata Nexon EV boasts of a range of 312 km that has been certified by ARAI.
  9. The electric SUV from TATA  comes with automatic headlamps, fog lamps with cornering ability, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, contrast dual-tone roof colour, automatic rain-sensing wipers and sunroof.
  10. Th new electric SUV gets safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD and cornering stability control, ISOFIX anchorage for child seats and camera-based reverse park assist.

The ICE-powered Tata Nexon EV has already scored five-star safety ratings at the Global NCAP crash tests.

The new Tata Nexon EV complies with the latest full-frontal, side-impact and offset impact crash regulations.

It is powered by TATA uniEVerse, consumers will have access to a suite of e-mobility offerings including charging solutions, innovative retail experiences and easy financing options.

TATA Motors has partnered with TATA Power to provide end-to-end charging solutions at home, workplace and for captive and public charging.

The company in a statement said that in order to accelerate the adoption of EVs in India, TATA Motors is closely working with other TATA Group companies including TATA Power, TATA Chemicals, TATA Autocomp, TATA Motors Finance and Croma, to create an e-mobility ecosystem, TATA uniEVerse.
