In January this year Bajaj Auto dived into the electric vehicle world with the launch of its Chetak Electric. In just 15 days of its launch “Humara Bajaj” gathered over 2,000 bookings, these figure was quite promising for an electric scooter.
The automaker earlier planned to deliver these scooter in the second quarter of this year, however, it got delayed due to production halt at Chakan.
According to reports, looking into the imposition of lockdown the company has shifted the second quarter delivery plan to the third quarter this year.
The entire country is under lockdown till May 3rd to contain the outbreak of the coronavirus, if by any chance, the lockdown is further extended, it may severely wreck the spine of auto industry that is already ailing,
