As result of nationwide lockdown due to COVID 19 outbreak the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) on Wednesday asked all bidders to send their pre-bid queries online for the 15 MW floating solar plant at the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).
The pre-bid meeting was scheduled for 20 April, 2020. SECI has requested for the online submission of queries by 24 April, 2020.
SECI in a statement said “The country is phasing through this crucial time having a complete lockdown of all the states and union territories till 3 May, 2020… In such a situation, all prospective bidders are requested to kindly submit their respective pre-bid queries, so as to save on overall tendering time.”
It further added “It is evident that the global outbreak of pandemic novel Coronavirus, COVID-19, has significantly hampered the functioning of all sectors including institutions, commercial establishments, offices and various manufacturing units are also at standstill. As a result of this, the pre-bid meeting scheduled for the subject tender could not be conducted on 20 April, 2020.”
SECI floated the tender early this month inviting bids for setting up of 15 MW floating solar PV power plant at different sites at the SCCL in Telangana.
