INOX Air Products joins hands with Tata Power Saurya Bandita for setting up of captive solar plant

INOX Air Products (INOXAP), a manufacturer of industrial and medical gases, has partnered with TP Saurya Bandita Limited, a special-purpose vehicle of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd, to establish a captive solar plant in Dhule, Maharashtra. The 40MWp solar power project will fulfill the energy requirements of the Air Separation Units operated by INOXAP in the state of Maharashtra.

INOXAP has been pursuing several sustainability initiatives and environmentally friendly operations in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The company’s long-term strategy to reduce dependency on fossil fuels, lower the carbon footprint of the nation, and manufacture Green Medical & Industrial Gases aligns with this project’s goals.

The use of solar power from this plant will enable INOXAP to decrease its carbon footprint by 48,000 tons annually.
