Renewable energy firm, Jakson Group, has signed an agreement with China-based solar module manufacturer, Jinchen Corp, to increase its solar manufacturing capacities in India to 3 GW annually and serve the global markets.
The expansion will take place in phases over the next few years, with the first phase expected to be completed with an additional 600 MW by mid-2023.
This will add to Jakson Group’s existing 500 MW facility in Greater Noida, taking its total module manufacturing capacity to 1.1 GW.
The partnership will help Jakson Group achieve its goal of reaching a solar manufacturing capacity of 3 GW by FY26 and allow it to export solar modules to international markets. Jinchen Corp sees the association as an opportunity to showcase its advanced solar module manufacturing technology to the world.
