Trina Solar Reports Strong Financial Results for FY2022 and Q1 2023, with Annual Revenue of $12.645 Billion

Company’s PV Products, PV System, and Smart Energy All Register Strong Growth; Module Shipments Total 43.09GW in 2022

Trina Solar has reported strong financial results for full year 2022 and Q1 2023. The company’s annual revenue of $12.645 billion (RMB 85.052 billion) marked an 83.41% increase from the previous year, driven by strong growth in its main businesses including PV products, PV system, and smart energy.

Trina Solar’s module shipments totaled 43.09GW in 2022, and cumulative module shipments surpassed 140GW by the end of March 2023, making it a leading player in the industry.

In addition, the company’s high-performance 600W+ Vertex modules based on the 210mm product technology platform have become a preferred choice for customers worldwide.

Trina Solar continues to invest in technological innovation, with 173 new patents obtained last year, bringing the total to 1,159 patents.

It also broke world records for PERC cell efficiency and industrial large-area n-type i-TOPCon cell and module efficiency last year.

The company’s commitment to low-carbon practices has earned it industry recognition, with its Vertex modules receiving LCA certification and a Carbon Footprint Certificate in 2022.

Trina Solar’s factory in Yiwu, Zhejiang province, was also awarded a Zero Carbon Factory certificate by Ti Group, the first such certificate to be awarded to a photovoltaic company.
