The projects are expected to be commissioned in the next 24 months; JSW Energy aims to achieve 20 GW capacity by 2030
JSW Energy has announced that it has signed a 25-year PPM with Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) for 300 MW of wind projects.
The agreement includes the supply of power for a period of 25 years, with a tariff of Rs 2.94 per kilowatt hour.
JSW Renew Energy Three, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, signed the agreement for the wind power projects, which are expected to be commissioned within the next 24 months and located in Maharashtra.
The company has set an ambitious target of reaching 20 GW capacity by 2030 and 10 GW by 2025. With a total locked-in capacity of 9.9 GW, JSW Energy is on track to achieve its targets well ahead of time.
Furthermore, the company has made a move into the energy storage space and has secured 3.4 GWh of energy storage capacity through battery energy storage systems and a hydro pumped storage project.
