OK Play India Limited and MANN+HUMMEL Host Symposium with Indo-German Chamber of Commerce to Raise Awareness and Discuss Solutions
OK Play India Limited and MANN+HUMMEL, in collaboration with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, convened a symposium to address the pressing issue of air pollution in the national capital. The event, titled “Air-Pollution- its Causes, Effects, Prevention, and Cure,” attracted senior dignitaries, government officials, NGOs, and experts from various sectors to explore solutions to combat air pollution.
The symposium, graced by esteemed delegates including Hon’ble Justice Swatanter Kumar, Former Judge Supreme Court of India and Former Chairperson National Green Tribunal, Shri Tarun Kapoor, Advisor to Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi, and Dr. Hendrik Selle, Minister, Head of the Department of Economic & Global Affairs, German Embassy, highlighted the urgency of addressing air pollution as a global predicament.
In his address, Shri Tarun Kapoor emphasized the government’s commitment to advancing electric vehicles (EVs) to mitigate environmental concerns, aiming to position India as a global manufacturing hub in the sector. Dr. Gopi Chand Khilnani, Chairman of PSRI Institute of Pulmonary, shed light on the detrimental health effects of pollution, stressing the need for immediate action.
Dr. Hendrik Selle reiterated support for India’s National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) and emphasized the importance of private sector involvement in delivering innovative solutions. Sudeesh Karimbingal, Managing Director of MANN+HUMMEL India, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with OK Play India Limited to introduce technology tailored to the Indian market’s needs.
The symposium featured the introduction of three innovative products aimed at tackling air pollution, including OurAir Mobile Air Purifiers, PureAir solutions, and Filter Cube outdoor air purifiers. These products offer cutting-edge filtration technology to improve indoor and outdoor air quality.
Rajan Handa, Managing Director of OK Play India Limited, called for collaborative efforts between the government and the private sector to address the pervasive issue of air pollution. Pankaj Agarwal from the Central Pollution Control Board highlighted measures taken to mitigate pollution in non-attainment cities under the NCAP.
MANN+HUMMEL showcased innovative solutions, including the Pure Air Fine Dust Particle Box, designed to capture fine dust and combat air pollution in both mobile and stationary applications. The symposium concluded with a call to action for concerted efforts to combat air pollution and safeguard public health.
