Kumar Appointed Executive Director and CEO, Poised to Drive Growth in Product Development, Distribution, and Market Expansion
Greaves Electric Mobility Private Limited (GEMPL), the electric vehicle arm of Greaves Cotton Limited, announced today the appointment of K. Vijaya Kumar as its new Executive Director and CEO. Mr. Kumar brings over three decades of experience in the mobility sector to his new role, where he will spearhead the company’s initiatives in product development, dealer network expansion, and market growth.
Mr. Kumar is a seasoned leader with a proven track record in the electric vehicle (EV) industry. He most recently served as the Managing Director and CEO of SAR Group’s E-Mobility Business, where he played a key role in driving the growth of their electric vehicle segment. This marks a homecoming for Mr. Kumar, who previously held the position of President of the automotive business at Greaves Cotton Limited. His extensive experience also includes senior leadership positions at TVS Motor and Bajaj Auto, two of India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers.

Mr. Kumar holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore.
