₹500 Crore Investment to Power Wind-Solar Hybrid Plant
Envision Wind Power Technologies India Private Limited has announced a strategic partnership with Blueleaf Energy, a renewable energy platform, to supply EN-156 3.3 MW turbines for a wind-solar hybrid power project in Madhya Pradesh. The project, scheduled for completion in 2025, will involve an investment of approximately ₹500 crores.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both companies as they join forces to harness the abundant wind energy potential in Madhya Pradesh. The project is aligned with India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, with Envision manufacturing key components such as nacelles and hubs in Pune, blades in India, and sourcing tower components from within the country.
The hybrid power plant will generate clean energy 24/7, reducing reliance on grid expansion and lowering the overall cost of electricity. Blueleaf Energy aims to achieve a renewable energy capacity of over 5 GW in India by 2030.
Envision has solidified its position in the Indian market with over 1550 MW of wind projects installed and an additional 7.7 GW awarded. The company’s manufacturing capacity for nacelles, hubs, and blades has been expanded to support this growth trajectory.
This partnership underscores the commitment of both Envision and Blueleaf Energy to accelerating the green energy transition and addressing the challenges of climate change.
