Conference Concludes with Strong Commitment to Decarbonization and Sustainable Energy
The inaugural day of the International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH-2024) at Bharat Mandapam concluded with a resounding success, drawing significant participation from global stakeholders. The three-day event, running from 11th to 13th September 2024, aims to solidify India’s position as a leader in the global green hydrogen ecosystem.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his virtual keynote address, emphasized India’s unwavering commitment to a cleaner, greener planet. He highlighted green hydrogen as a cornerstone of the country’s decarbonization efforts, aligning with the National Green Hydrogen Mission launched in January 2023.
Government ministers, industry leaders, and experts from around the world gathered to discuss the latest advancements in green hydrogen technology, policy frameworks, and investment opportunities. The conference featured a series of plenary sessions, panel discussions, and exhibitions showcasing innovative solutions in the sector.

The conference is being organized by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, in collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the Department of Science and Technology, and the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.
As the conference progresses, participants will delve deeper into the challenges and opportunities presented by green hydrogen and explore ways to accelerate its adoption and commercialization.
