Tata Power Clinched Largest Renewable Energy Project in Maharashtra

400 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Project to Boost State’s Green Energy Goals

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Company Limited, has clinched a major contract to develop a 400 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid project in Maharashtra. The project, awarded by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), is set to be the largest of its kind in the state for TPREL.

The hybrid project, which combines solar and wind energy, will contribute significantly to Maharashtra’s renewable energy goals. TPREL’s expertise in delivering large-scale renewable projects was instrumental in securing this contract. The project is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 895 million kilograms annually.

“This is a significant milestone for TPREL as we continue to expand our renewable energy portfolio,” said [Name of TPREL Executive]. “The project will not only help meet Maharashtra’s growing energy demands but also contribute to a cleaner and greener future.”

The project is expected to be completed within 24 months from the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Once operational, the electricity generated will be supplied to MSEDCL, helping the utility company meet its energy needs sustainably.
