Global renewable energy consultancy SgurrEnergy has announced an ambitious target of achieving 200 GW of global capacity by 2028.
This significant milestone marks a significant leap from the company’s current capacity of 122.545 GW, showcasing its commitment to accelerating the transition to clean energy.
The company’s 2024 has been marked by several key achievements, including a notable focus on energy storage with 6.8 GWh of capacity. India, in particular, has emerged as a key market for SgurrEnergy, with an impressive 14,940 MW of installed capacity.
SgurrEnergy’s Director, Arif Aga, expressed optimism about the company’s future growth trajectory. “We have consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation in the renewable energy sector, and our commitment to achieving 200 GW by 2028 reflects our dedication to building a sustainable, green energy future,” he said.
The company has intensified its focus on environmental impact assessments, offering comprehensive ESG and ESIA services. Additionally, the establishment of an Innovation and Development team has strengthened SgurrEnergy’s approach to enhancing project delivery and efficiency.
Looking ahead, SgurrEnergy plans to expand its footprint in Southeast Asia, with potential offices in Singapore or Malaysia. The company is also committed to strengthening its workforce and leveraging innovative technologies like generative AI to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
