The Climate Reality Project Launches REALITY Tour to Drive Global Climate Action Ahead of COP 30

Al Gore’s AI-powered climate presentation, global advocacy trainings, and digital engagement aim to drive public and political momentum for ambitious climate commitments in 2025.

The Climate Reality Project, a nonprofit organization founded by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, has announced the launch of the REALITY Tour—a groundbreaking initiative designed to build public momentum and political will for ambitious climate commitments leading up to COP 30 in Brazil.

A First in Climate Advocacy: Al Gore’s AI-Powered Global Address

For the first time, Al Gore will deliver his signature climate presentation in 12 languages, utilizing state-of-the-art AI technology from Metaphysic. This innovative approach will allow audiences worldwide to tune in live and gain the latest insights into climate impacts and solutions.

The 2025 REALITY Tour will feature in-person advocacy trainings in major cities, including Paris, Nairobi, Rio de Janeiro, and Ulaanbaatar, with additional branch-led events across multiple continents.

Urgency for Climate Action Ahead of 2030 Targets

With rising global emissions and increasing climate skepticism, world leaders risk missing the critical 2030 emissions reduction targets set by the Paris Agreement. The REALITY Tour aims to mobilize citizens and policymakers to take decisive action before COP 30 and beyond.

Three Key Components of the REALITY Tour

  1. Global In-Person Advocacy Trainings
    • Paris, France (March 28–30, 2025) – Marking 10 years since the historic Paris Agreement, this event will kick off the tour with a multi-day training session for climate advocates.
    • Additional major in-person trainings will be held in Nairobi (June 2025), Rio de Janeiro (August 15–17, 2025), and Ulaanbaatar (October 2025).
  2. Branch-Led Advocacy Trainings
    • Climate Reality branches will host one-day trainings in key locations worldwide, complementing the global events.
    • March 29: Trainings in Belém (Brazil), Vancouver (Canada), Bacolod (Philippines), and Cape Town (South Africa).
    • April 5: Events in Delhi (India), Jakarta (Indonesia), Mexico City (Mexico), Nadi (Fiji), and Tokyo (Japan).
    • These sessions will feature Al Gore’s recorded climate presentation alongside region-specific discussions.
  3. Online Global Experience
    • A dedicated digital platform will make Al Gore’s presentation accessible in 12 languages (including Hindi, French, Spanish, and Mandarin).
    • This experience will be available until COP 30 in November 2025, allowing worldwide participation.

Empowering Climate Leaders for Global Change

Participants of both global and local trainings will join the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, a network of over 3.8 million climate advocates committed to driving systemic change.

Why This Matters

Climate scientists emphasize that greenhouse gas emissions must be cut in half by 2030 to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. However, emissions continue to rise. The upcoming COP 30 in Brazil presents a critical opportunity to accelerate climate action and push world leaders to implement decisive policies.

Al Gore, Founder and Chairman of The Climate Reality Project, emphasized:

“This is a pivotal moment to reflect on our progress since the Paris Agreement and recognize the urgent steps still needed to solve the climate crisis. The REALITY Tour empowers people worldwide to push for ambitious climate action.”

Phyllis Cuttino, President and CEO of Climate Reality, added:

“We urge individuals everywhere to join the REALITY Tour—online or in person—to create a future powered by clean energy and global climate cooperation.”

The REALITY Tour is set to be one of the most impactful climate advocacy campaigns leading to COP 30 in Brazil. Whether attending in-person or virtually, individuals worldwide can contribute to shaping a more sustainable future.
